Daedals 406LXR Linear Servo Motor Table combines the desired characteristics of high speed and precise positioning, in one reliable
low-profile package. Fast response, high acceleration, smooth translation, high velocity, and quick settling time describe the 406LXRs performance characteristics, while repeatability, precise accuracy, and high resolution describe
its positioning attributes. Optimum performance is achieved as a result of slotless motor technology engineered in combination with performance matched mechanical elements and feedback components. The 406LXR is offered with an 8
pole motor or a higher force 12 pole motor and an extended life (20 million cycles) cable management system. The 406LXRs selection flexibility and its mounting compatibility with Daedals 400XR ballscrew driven tables enables single
axis or complex multi-axis systems to be configured in a simple, straight forward manner. The 406LXR series takes the mystery (and cost) out of linear motor tables and brings the "Three Easys" to high throughput precision

Unlike rotary motors, linear motors are unable to function on their own. They require a platform to provide support and direction as well as
position feedback. With Daedal tables, the magnet rail is mounted to the stationary base and the forcer is mounted to the moveable carriage. High precision square rail bearings connect the carriage to the base, providing load
support, low-friction translation, and precise linear direction. A high resolution linear encoder, with scale mounted to the base and reader head to the carriage, provides the required velocity and positional information to the
motor controller. Unlike screw driven tables, the only contact between the moving carriage and the stationary base is through the linear support bearings. Used whenever precision and throughput are paramount, these tables are well
suited for applications such as laser manufacturing processes, component handling, wafer inspection and precision automation. |
