Parker Hannifin Corporation, Daedal Division has released the next generation of heavy duty linear actuators designed for today’s demanding factory automation requirements.

The HPF3000 (High Performance Friction Drive) is a high performance linear module capable of moving very large payloads over very long distances. It incorporates the proven technology of our maintenance free roller wheel support bearings (HLE series) with our newly highly dynamic friction drive. This drive utilizes two preloaded polyurethane drive wheels to transfer motor torque from the drive module to the drive rail. Having a thrust capacity of 675 lbs. (3000N), the HPF3000 can aggressively accelerate loads up to 1500 lbs. (6672 N). This unique design also enables multiple drive heads to function independently on a single rail for improved overall system throughput. A rotary encoder mounted in the drive module assures positional accuracy and repeatability and provides a positional resolution of 22 microns. With effective system travels exceeding 50 meters, the HPF3000 provides an exciting and effective solution for long travel, high dynamic applications.
